Lafourche Parish, Louisiana
The West Lake Boeuf Prospect is a directional well located in the Lake Boeuf field in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The prospect is located 6 miles northwest of Raceland, Louisiana and 50 miles southwest of New Orleans. Intrepid owns all rights to all depths in 529 contiguous acres.
We will be drilling this well to a depth of 14,460 feet TVD, with a measured depth of 15,610 feet. The prospect is a high geo-pressure Middle Miocene land well. This fault block has produced 100 BCF and 1.9 million barrels from other sands.
Intrepid's main objective is the "P" sand which has reserves of approximately 2.2 million barrels of oil. The total reserve potential in this prospect is approximately 5 million barrels of oil and 13 BCF. Other possible objectives are the M-1 sand, the Q sand, and the Ridgefield sand. This project will be a multiple well exploration program for Miocene age oil and gas saturated Sandstone reserviors which have historically produced with strong flow rates and very commercial cumulative hydrocarbon production in nearby, on trend, and geologically related analogous fields. The West Lake Boeuf Prospect is controlled and defined by all available nearby, subsurface well bores and recent vintage 3-D seismic data, resulting in a potentially high percentage probability of success.
